He graduated from University of Botswana with B.Eng in Civil Engineering. He further holds an MSc in Geotechnical Engineering from University of Birmingham, UK and PhD in Civil Engineering from University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. 

He started his professional career with Francistown Town Council where he worked for two years as an assistant town engineer responsible for design and supervision of construction of various civil works including roads, drainage, buildings, and waste water. He has also worked for CPP Consulting engineers where he was involved with the design of road projects and other civil works. He is currently employed as a lecturer in Geotechnical Engineering at University of Botswana. While working as a lecturer, he has been active in consultancy work in the field of geotechnical engineering.
